Katharine Walter Payne
Katharine Walter Payne focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, trust administration, federal taxation, small business formation and business succession planning. Katharine graduated with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 2004. After practicing law in Charlotte County for a number of years, Katharine decided to obtain an LLM Taxation degree from the University of Florida. Katharine is licensed to practice in both Florida and West Virginia.
Katharine was born in Monterey, California, and spent most of her life in southern West Virginia before making Florida her home. Katharine is a past Director of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, past Director of the Charlotte County YMCA, served on the Charlotte County YMCA Endowment Committee, and is a Graduate of the Leadership Charlotte Class of 2006. Katharine is a member of the Charlotte County Bar Association, the Charlotte County Estate Planning Council, the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and the Taxation Section of the Florida Bar. Katharine and her husband, Mark Payne, reside in Port Charlotte, Florida, with their dog, Daisy.
